Your Support Brings Joy and Hope to Women Battling GYN Cancer
Every month, GYN Cancers Alliance (GYNCA) is making a profound difference in the lives of 328 women battling gynecologic cancers in southwest Missouri—a 31% increase from just last year. The Shelly Sachs Wig Room saw 131 women come through its doors in the past year for free wigs, and 430 gas tanks were filled for those traveling to and from treatment and appointments. Support groups in person and online are full of care and compassion shared between survivors at all stages of their journey, and The Patty Brooks Resource Center stays stocked and ready with any incontinence and comfort supplies they need. From financial assistance to emotional support, GYNCA has become a lifeline for these women, offering hope, strength, and a community that truly understands their fight. The impact we’re making is real, and it’s growing every day.

This powerful movement began with one woman: Joy Lamberson-Klock. After her own ovarian cancer diagnosis in 2000, Joy realized the desperate need for a support network that could truly serve the unique challenges of women facing gynecologic cancers. What started with a simple gesture—gathering a few women to support one another—has blossomed into a thriving organization that touches hundreds of lives each month. Joy’s vision continues to guide us, and her legacy lives on in the countless women who find comfort and strength through GYNCA.

Today, we need you to help us continue this vital work. By contributing to GYNCA’s Circle of Joy year-end giving campaign, you’re honoring Joy’s vision and empowering us to expand our reach even further. Your support means more than just a donation—it means providing hope, care, and a future where no woman has to face gynecologic cancer alone. Together, we can change lives. Together, we can keep growing. Will you step into the Circle of Joy with us?
